Irina has always loved to dance since she was born. Her parents first noticed her passion for it and decided to sign her up for a dance studio at their small town. Within moments, her dream came true and she started learning the mystery of dance as it quickly became a part of her soul. After a while her talent and tendency to be one of the best among the students was quickly noticed by one of her mentors who advised her parents to pursue the development of her dance skills by going to the Choreography College of Tashkent City. Taking the advice of her teacher, she went to an audition and passed with flying colors and graduated with honors in 1981. From 1981 to 1996 she was working at Tashkent Musical Theater. She really enjoyed the experiences this theater had to offer, especially due to the different styles of dance. Over time, Irina was able to adapt and expand upon her passion in choreography and grow as a part of it. She engaged in solo performances as well as entourage and excelled at both. She has traveled extensively throughout countries (Russia, Ukraine, Estonia, Latvia, and Litva) and shared her talent among a variety of viewers. In 1997 she immigrated to the United States and has happily continued the pursuit of her aspirations in choreography. For the last ten years since her move to the US, Irina has worked as a ballet instructor and choreographer at various dance studios in the Bay Area. Now, given the opportunity to evolve in western culture and integrated with her knowledge, she hopes to pass on her craft and love of dance to her students.
Valeriy has extensive knowledge of staging production based on his background at Tashkent Musical Theater as a musician of the orchestra. He has worked in various productions over the years and is currently contributing to Silhouette Dance Studio by editing music and overseeing every aspect of art production.

CREATIVE MOVEMENT (Tiny, Mini)
Creative Movement class is offered to children 3 - 6 years old. It will introduce them to movement, music, and rhythm, as well as body discipline and awareness. This class is designed to develop appropriate skills for this particular age group, such as dance positions and increasing coordination through skipping, hopping, and turning patterns. Emphasis is placed on fun and the development of positive self-esteem as the child enters one of his or her earliest classroom situations. In addition to dancing, children learn to take turns and interact cooperatively within a group.
INTRODUCTION TO DANCE (Pre-Bravo, Bravo)
This class will introduce students to a variety of dance styles, including social ballroom in the form of formation dance, modern dance, pre-ballet, and folk dance. It improves basic dance skills and brings complexity to dance movements. Students are divided into groups by level for more precise work on creative movements, rhythm, and coordination.
SPIRIT OF DANCE (Pre-Teens, Teens)
We offer classes for pre-teens and teens that introduce them to all forms of dance, as well as provide them an opportunity to excel and progress into higher levels as they perfect their technique. Students will be introduced to more advanced dance styles such as Jazz, Lyrical, and Contemporary.
ADULTS (SDT)
Ballroom dancing is a couple's dance where the couple moves using step patterns and rhythms that match the character of the music. It does not require any special skills or dance ability. By learning simple dance steps and their associated timing, you can find yourself quickly out on the dance floor having fun while dancing. This style of dance is an activity you can enjoy at any age. It is a skill that, once learned, lasts a lifetime. It is also a wonderful lifestyle addition to help keep you healthy and fit. This class will focus on bringing joy during performance on stage and be a part of a dance theater production. We have all dreamed of being on stage. This class will give you an opportunity to fulfill your dream. We know that not all people are ready to perform on stage and that is why this class is offered by invitation only.
